Unbelievable, Monica Conyers CONTINUES her absurdness in full public view as per her typical style. What an embarrassment. Despite outrcries by local attendees at the Detroit City Council hearings today she openly insulted President Kenneth Cockrel and ALL her colleagues of other WOMEN by the way, exclaiming for the world to see:

“You’re not my Daddy. You’re not going to disrespect me. Grow up! Control your house and learn how to treat women.” — Monica Conyers – (Incompetent “Pro-Tem” City Council Detroit – April 11, 2008 — ) See also: Council Hearings Erupt – Detroit News

This behavior, coupled with her PUBLIC ENDORSEMENT of Mayor Kilpatrick’s egregious mismanagement of public money, and her utter lack of ethics is further demonstrated by having her photo plastered on the outrageous Kilpatrick “Justice Defense Fund” which solicits money from the public to defend the Mayor from a very RIGHTEOUS investigation. And this is supposed to be evidence to the people that Monica Conyer’s is capable of UNBIASED SUPPORT for the people of the city???? Obviously NOT.

Conyers has the gall to attack Cockrel and others, yet she endorses Kwame’s NUMEROUS philanderings by aligning with his defense. What about all the women EXPLOITED by Kwame? This seems to be A-OK with Monica Conyers now advocating herself under the auspice of “feminism” PULLEASE! Speak OUT against the continuing outrage. A letter was recently sent in that was addressed to the City Council as well as all the contacts below articulating clearly that such a disreputable and public demonstration by many, such as Conyers, and others appointed by the Mayor to office (consisting almost entirely of family and friends) is a significant abuse of authority  that makes a mockery of any purportedly democratic government. Not to mention, the city is now funding Kilpatrick’s “Media Watch” campaign which has absolutely NOTHING to do with benefitting the people but again serves guess who? KWAME KILPATRICK. The public is urged to continue CONTACTING local and state authorities that the situation is escalating to the continued detriment and COST of the city, the people, the State of Michigan and EVERYONE. It is intolerable. Hundreds have contacted federal agencies already and at this point, yes they SHOULD be stepping in.

Monica Conyers Bar Fight—- Monica Conyers should not be blackening the eyes of party goers….. Blackmailing behind the scenes,“, said Clinton, “is much more effective“. Harry Reid commented that “there’s a dark cloud hanging over Monica Conyers” who “lied to get into the altercation and now she’s lying to mislead the rest of us about how it started and the conditions on the ground“. Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle said that Conyers should be indicted on charges of torture, noting that the event “prevented Mews from getting a second helping of birthday cake and another scoop of Haagen Daz“. Further, Howard Dean has remarked that “there’s no way that Conyers could win such a fight“, and Jack Murtha said “she has to run away if she wants to win; it’s her presence at the parties which makes her a target“. He further noted that Monica Conyers is “utterly broken“, and that he hopes “that this will be a lesson to her about attending any parties in the future”…. Subliminal Message for Detroit City Government: Watch Manda Bala

This had to be posted separately although originally it was intended to go along with the recap of today’s hearings by the Detroit City Council. However, the comments by the public so voluminous on this event, the movie recommendation would have gotten lost amidst the other points, so here it is: MANDA BALA. It would be worth anyone’s time to watch this revealing film that has won several awards, but it is particularly being suggested for anyone in Detroit City government, and particularly, those in high public offices (read: the Mayor). While the film centers on the corruption of government in Brazil, the concept APPLIES.

Abstract: Manda Bala—> points fingers at corrupt politicians, illustrating how their greed leads to civilian poverty, and how this destitution leads to crime.

 

Self explanatory enough? (though perhaps not for Monica Conyers… the public consensus regarding her participations in the city’s hearings unanimously has been: “she clearly has a big “agenda”, and this is to divert any negativity away from herself or the city at the expense of the citizens and… the TRUTH“.) The subliminal message for our leaders is: WE DON’T WANT DETROIT TO BECOME LIKE THIS. Fair enough request?

VIDEOS: Kwame Gets Eviction Notice, A NEW Lawsuit, City Council Investigations, and A Possible New Tether

Where to even begin? Today, city council began intensive inquiry of: Mike Stefani (plaintiff attorney on behalf of the police officers Kwame colluded to fire from their jobs with Beatty and and other city employees), Attorney Coleman  and Attorney Sam McCargo (defendant attorney’s on behalf of the Detroit City Council’s LEGAL Department headed by shyster woman Valerie Colbert-Osamuede who told city council to approve the settlement without providing any detail of the secret text message agreements – see: Shyster Woman Exhibits). The interrogations will be continuing over the next several days. Some of us were fortunate enough to observe several hours of the questioning conducted in the city today; we are hoping that the news will archive the filming of these revealing and interesting testimonies. Then also today, a local action group brought an eviction notice to Kwame’s city offices today to demand he be evicted and resign. Also a NEW lawsuit has been brought against both Kilpatrick and Beatty on behalf of taxpayers seeking compensation for the funds they essentially duped the city out of; approximately 9 million dollars they are asking to be repaid, and rightfully so. AND: Wayne County Prosecutor Offices have filed a motion today seeking more stringency upon Kwame’s whereabouts. The public challenges his ability to traverse around the country seeking financial support from churches in other states; when his agreement with the court outlines his leaving the state as an indicted official are allowable only under the auspice of city business; of which, campaigning for funds is not. Of course, no one is surprised to learn that through all of this, Kilpatrick’s response was his usual diversion spiel; and campaigning his 300 millions “kwame stimulus” package. He remarked snarkily “no one seems interested in all my big improvements” or to similar effect. Right Kwame, no is interested in you because the public opinion unanimously agrees: he is about 7 years too late on taking right action, and about 8.4 million dollars short already. VIDEO (TODAY): Kwame Kilpatrick Tries to Hustle A Bishop While His Goons Manhandle People at Detroit Airport

Kwame Kilpatrick arrives today April 7th 2008 in Detroit airport returning from his “super secret” trip to Texas of which his purpose was to solicit (MO’ MONEY) from Bishop T.D. Jakes of the Potter’s House of Dallas, a pastor with a well to do congregation of near 30,000 members. He did not receive the “support” he was looking for, so he snuck his sorry butt on back to Detroit and denied any agenda (read: he wanted money but instead got the boot ). Unfortunately for him, by the time of his arrival Detroit, the Potter’s House had already issued a formal statement to news broadcasts and newspapers, disproving Kwame’s claim of just an innocent personal trip. The church officially acknowledged Kwame’s attempt at seeking interview with Bishop Jakes, and the Bishop’s stand on the issue as follows:

“The Potter’s House of Dallas, nor it’s senior pastor Bishop T. D. Jakes has no current or future plans of becoming involved in the legal or business affairs existing between the city of Detroit, and it’s mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick.”

Is it clear enough? GO AWAY KWAME! But no, it gets even better. While at the Detroit airport, his “goon squad” starts manhandling the general public, including news media that are routinely GOING TO be at an airport when public officials of any kind are traveling to and fro (newsflash to Kwame: you are not the ONLY public official in the world that flys in and out of Detroit airport….). A very sharp, and courageous passenger at the airport who was one of many witnesses spoke out against their behavior and was filmed on WXYZ news. (You will see her on the video – she is AWESOME; says it straight and strong!) Here’s what some of the news workers experienced by Kwame and his nincompoops at the airport today (and video below):

Kilpatrick’s executive protection unit officers then proceeded to manhandle Action News photographer Johnny Sartin.. Our producer… and me. Sgt. Darren Johnson tussled with our photographer for several minutes… even though we were just trying to ask questions of a public official in a public building. Their assaults brought cries of outrage from several bystanders in the airport, including from one woman who wasn’t afraid to take on the mayor’s bodyguards. 

Please take a moment to send this video clip, your comment and / or request that Kwame Kilpatrick be removed from office; and his security team suspended. This is disgraceful. See below:

Homo Erectus Not Extinct; Hunter-Gathering of Political Allies Lives On

Homo Erectus, the precursor to Homo Sapien (the modern human) were known as hunter-gatherers and for developing extended societal roots. Anthropologists believed them to be one of the first of hominids to live in band societies, and ultimately brought to extinction through natural selection and the course of evolution.

From a recent comment submitted regarding the unbearable situation for Detroit:

“…Here we see Homo Erectus is not exinct… the hunting and gathering of political allies lives on in Kwame Kilpatrick’s administration….“  This was in response to the latest news about Judge Giles’ (the judge conducting initial trial on the case) and his history with Kwame Kilpatrick. News reports that not only does Judge Giles’ wife, Joyce Hayes-Giles, have personal ties with Kilpatrick’s administration, but also that she had Kilpatrick’s current Deputy Chief of Staff (Eddie McDonald) and Kilpatrick’s former campaign manager (Jamaine Dickens) work on her own 2007 campaign for Vice President of the Detroit School Board; a position she still holds. (Sidenote: This is the same school board by the way that also has child abuser Reverend David Hayes among its meritorious members.)

Political consultant Sam Riddle observed that the Hayes-Giles’ political connections raise questions:

“For the judge to say he has no connection with the mayor when his wife has worked with those individuals, it’s a bit misleading.” – Free Press April 4th, 2008 

Yes, and most would also add that Judge Giles himself contributed to Kilpatrick’s campaign additionally, which lends further discredit to impartiality. Does it not? Commentators on the Free Press respond with exclamation “CALL IN THE FEDS!” because there is no way any judge in the local district can competently trial this case whatsoever; it is known that all of them are tied, one way or other, to Kilpatrick’s “extended family” administration.

And this is why, and a very VALID reason why Wayne County Prosecutor’s office seeks to obtain exemption of the 36th District judges; i.e.: for a FAIR trial without underlying political agenda’s impeding the interests of JUSTICE, without further exploitation of the City of Detroit whose residents are PAYING for it.

Then too, exploiting relationships is not new to Kwame. After all, yet again today it was announced that Kwame’s good buddy Bobby Ferguson is now under investigation by the City of Detroit for obtaining (repeatedly) million dollar contracting jobs. People want to know how it happened that coincidentally, all these bids were awarded to the SAME person? Did a bidding process occur for equal opportunity?

Governor Granholm Still Dances Around Kwame Kilpatrick Scandal

Governor Granholm has been seen as “waffly” about taking a stance on the Kwame Kilpatrick scandal. This just in: Kwame wants her job! The funniest article ever, posted a few days ago, “Embattled Mayor Will Run for Governor“.

“I’m young, I’m strong, and I’m sexy,” Mr. Kilpatrick said in a prepared statement following his arraignment on Monday. “I can’t seem to stop my brilliant career from bouncing off the guardrails—this is the most important of the many reasons I would be a great governor.” – Posted on: Smith Is My Real Name (kudos to Smith by the way)

Many would believe (and expect) such audacity by Mayor Kilpatrick, especially considering that Governor Granholm will not take action against him for his many wrongdoings, when she has the power to do so. Letters have been written to Governor Granholm by people from all over the state, calls have been made, not to mention the public voicing their opinions on the web everywhere.

General comments made by the public reveal the overwhelming feeling that Governor Granholm is not doing her job (see public remarks here also). It has been suggested (and perhaps accurately so) that staking her “ethical” highground NO WHERE on this issue indicative of her own political agendas, which could be undermined should she cast her vote in the wrong direction. Everyone knows the State of Michigan would be best served if higher governing officials (like Governor Granholm?) stepped in to stop the Kwameunism. But then, heaven forbid a politician sacrifice popularity (perceived or imagined).

Bill Ballenger, publisher of the Inside Michigan Politics newsletter, speculated that Granholm would not attempt to oust Kilpatrick because it would damage her politically in Detroit, where she’d be viewed as an interloper. – Mayor’s Foes Seeking Help From Granholm

Today, a letter from her offices was posted sharing her official response to the matter of the increasing public outrage that Kwame has inspired:

Dear Constituent, Thank you for sharing your concerns about the ongoing controversy surrounding Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some comments the Governor has made on this important issue”

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has conducted an investigation into this matter which has resulted in the filing of criminal charges against Mayor Kilpatrick. As the former Michigan Attorney General and a former federal prosecutor I believe it is critical that the legal process be allowed to work. Therefore, I will not interfere, by comment or action, in this criminal proceeding. Also, because the law establishes a potential role for me in this matter, I cannot and will not comment in any way that might compromise the criminal justice process.”

Yet, her action of “NON-ACTION” in reality serves to challenge public confidence in her leadership. From the people’s perspective: “ignoring it is enabling it“. People don’t seem satisfied with the “neutral” response as indicated in the above letter from her offices, and are wondering if anyone “up there” is paying attention.

I Can Haz Dictionary?

Freep recently posted an article on perjury (definitions) sharing views from expert attorneys regarding Kwame’s defense. The article was also mentioned on C-Span Washington Journal. The article quotes testimony given by both Kilpatric and Beatty regarding their affair. Both were asked specifically if they had sex with one another, and additionally if they had romantic, unprofessional relationships. Both testified “NO”. Kwame surrounded his response with a convoluted litany about how even asking the question was offensive (paraphrased) “…absurd to assert that all professional women must be prostitutes…my mother is a congresswoman…” spiel. Right, doth protest too much.

Experts called upon included Larry Dubin from U-Mercy, and Peter Henning from Wayne State. Both implied there is some ambiguity in the responses which could allow doubt of his guilt. Yet both also called out Beatty’s testimony stating because she was more emphatic in her response, it could be problematic. Another expert Stuart Green from Louisana State seemed to also agree.

My question: How would it be possible the court could find Beatty guilty of lying about sexual relations with Kwame, thereby asserting her guilty of the act itself, but then turn around, and exempt Kwame of guilt, when he was participant in the act? Logic??? That makes absolutely NO sense. Hypothetically, even IF the Mayor was found not to have “perjured” himself via some contrived “technicality” (found not guilty), any fact of Beatty’s guilt would negate it by confirming otherwise. Further, she could also then stand as a new witness to the act itself. In short, no matter how they slice it, they both lied. Someone on this article commented that they felt Dan Webb ($750 dollar an hour lawyer Kwame availed from Chicago) was creative enough to navigate the verbiage loopholes to get Kwame exonerated. But I disagree. I don’t think Webb is all that creative, I think he is doing what a dude getting $750 dollars an hour should be doing: racking up his hourly bill, because the bill is essentially the point in trialing a high profile case with little chance of passing muster. Even if Webb should get Kilpatrick exonerated of perjury by some miracle, it won’t be a lasting victory. There’s more to come.

Even still, how can any sane person look at the text messages,  communications, exchanges and relevant incidents, and come to the conclusion that either of them (Beatty or Kilpatrick) were telling the truth in their testimonies of denial? For example:

Trial Testimony: August 29, 2007 Beatty Questioned by Stefani:

Stefani:During the time period 2001 to 2003, were you and Mayor Kilpatrick either romantically or intimately involved with each other?
Beatty: No. …
Stefani: And did you ever use the text message system to communicate messages of a personal nature to the mayor?
Beatty: No.
Stefani: Did you ever receive messages from the mayor of a personal nature?
Beatty: No.
Stefani: And by personal I mean messages which were not strictly pertaining to city government matters?
Beatty: No.
Stefani: Did you use the message device to arrange social meetings between you and the mayor?
Beatty: No.
Stefani: Did you ever send the mayor or receive from the mayor a text message which was of an intimate or sexual nature?
Beatty: No. …

Communications From City Issued Devices During This Time Period

October 11, 2002 – Beatty to Kilpatrick: …What did you think about me or otherwise after the first time we had sex?
October 7, 2002 – Beatty: OK, I’m feeling like I want another night like the most recent Saturday at the Residence Inn! You made me feel so damn good that night. As you can see I can’t let it go!
Kilpatrick: I feel that we can do that in WV (West Virginia)+ just relax together. I need you soooo bad. I want to wake up in the morning and you are there. Make it happen. Love ya.
October 16, 2002 – Kilpatrick: I’ve been dreaming all day about having you all to myself for 3 days … relaxing, laughing, talking, sleeping and making love.

How can the above be seen in any way as ambiguous???? This sort of dialogue substantiates their engagements, unprofessional relations, sexual relations, and use of city devices for discussing it (non city related purposes). As for meeting at the Resident Inn, good grief, AUDIT records. Yet these indescretions are only a few of the many others Kilpatrick and Beatty passed back and forth. Webb will need to be some spin doctor, because how anyone in these circumstances can go to a court of law and try to defend they did not lie under oath is beyond me. Likewise for the Mayor’s other lies like “I did not fire Gary Brown“… (Contradicted by Kilpatrick’s testimony here). Wow, this logic is almost (but not quite) as idiotic as Examiner Ha and McFail’s redundant objections during Mike Stefani’s deposition. Well, maybe the courts will decide to buy into it, but I don’t think the rest of society does. I truly don’t.

This article is absolutely astounding.  Many are disappointed in Mike Cox’s record and I don’t know anyone that would vote him as governor either (article references his running for it). But the video from Fox 2 news regarding (more) of Kilpatrick’s egregious personal spending which he has a long history of,  is overhadowed by the display made by his mother. How is this person in congress? Never seen the likes of this, not even in New York political circles. Video:

We (Heart) Judge Columbo

Sadly, more conventions are CANCELLING in Detroit (this is the part we can thank Kwame for); new cancellations recently announced this week for Detroit in addition to the Mayor’s Convention which was cancelled in Detroit and re-routed to New Orleans last month.

Today, a Chicago events planner commented on Freep that they in turn announced their cancellation of Detroit events just this morning (March 28th) and are appalled at the way the city has been allowed to run. They are moving their convention to Ohio.

Despite this, there may be hope for Michigan yet. DetNews has just published that Wayne Circuit rulings announce that Kilpatrick nor others under investigation will be allowed to impede FOIA suit to investigate communications of public officials whom are in fact paid on public time and dime. The city council is quoted as remarking that “their position is the city of Detroit is the owners and subscribers of this information…”

Thank you City Council, and other branches of Michigan government for taking notice. It inspires hope that governing officials are perhaps now more willing to seriously consider the thousands of voices of outrage expressed about Kilpatrick’s mis-management these past many years. Of humorous note, when objection to the releasing of the messages was proposed under the communications act, the logical question arises: If first the defendants assert (indeed testified) these kinds of communications never existed (sex scandals, firing of Mr. Brown etc.), or assert they the defendants charged were not the author of these messages (in reference to the pathetic strategy of “proving” whose finger hit the sent button), how then can their possibly be any objection by the defense?????

Right on JUDGE COLUMBO, Wayne County, Kym Worthy and hopefully the many others that will step forward with some basic common sense.

“…. how can you deny existence of documents to district court, then appear in circuit to defend why they should not be produced..” Logic??? Exactly! Thank you Wayne Circuit, MI Supreme Court, and Detroit City Council! Yes, for 9 milllion dollars and countin, the public DOES have a freaking right to know.

And Johnson’s previous claim that documents are unadmissable, is SHUT DOWN. Per state attorneys, um… no, that doesn’t apply to public money in a back door deal; it doesn’t apply to a public official acting on behalf of the city of Detroit who frauded the taxpayers out of 9 million dollars. Side note: Attorney General Cox has also called for Kwame’s resignation according to local news.
