Kilpatrick: Everyone’s Favorite “BOO”, Yall’s Boy Mom Ousted, Lawyer Quits – And Conyers Gets Etiquette Lessons From 8th Graders (Video)

Recapping the latest events surrounding Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick here in June 2008 for your amusement. Where to even begin? Kwame’s lead attorney Sam McCargo quits. And reason being: he feels ethically challenged now that he is aware of the scandalous behaviors of the mayor. Wow! A miracle! After being paid thousands of dollars, and after arguing that Kwame’s text messages paid for by public funds were somehow exempt… he now MAGICALLY feels pulled by the call of his own conscience. Yah big surprise. We here are really empathic. (No actually we are not, just being facetious…) Lawyer Down-Lo Here.

The Kwame quote of the year (Detroit News). “When you really think about it, from 1776 to 2008, men, women of all ages, colors and creeds died in this country for Kwame Kilpatrick and you to have the right to a fair trial. So it’s not about the politics as much as it is about the American jurisprudence system that we can’t allow to be bastardized.”

But everyone’s favorite video this month is: MONICA CONYERS GETS ETIQUETTE LESSONS FROM 12 YEAR OLD (Daily Kos Article) Everyone jumped up and applauded on this one. And the funniest part- it’s completely true! In a recent interview Conyers decides to debate children in what appears an attempt to justify her historically bad behaviors. But they weren’t buying it! Check it out below:

 
Of course it’s really no big surprise the trial is further delayed thanks to the improprietous relations District Judge Giles has with Kilpatrick. That coupled with Sharon McFail’s ongoing efforts to kabash the trial regardless. She now likens Kwame’s interrogation to  the 1950’s Red Scare Prosecution scandal. How abysmal! Not really worth linking to since no one listens to Sharon but here ya go…..

And lastly, a “report card” of current city authorities by Free Press writer Brian Dickerson “Grading Detroit…” There is more drama going on in Detroit City than on all the soap opera’s on prime time television.

 

The KWAME Sutra – Secret Documents Released

More “super secret” text messages have been released per Circuit Court ruling this week. But what really makes the situation more comical is the chain of events leading up to the ruling. First, Mayor Kilpatrick’s (very expensive, NON Detroit, NON African American) defense team attempted denying the messages existed, then when that didn’t work, they denied they belonged to Kwame Kilpatrick but at the same time orchestrated the argument that they shouldn’t be released on public record (even though they ARE public record paid for by the public). Kudos to the Honorable Robert Columbo presiding for employing basic common sense. The Judge simply asked the obvious, which is, if these are NOT the Mayor’s communications, then why object to their release after all, you claim they are not his in the first place right? The judgment: Sorry Kwame, public official correspondance really IS public record. Exactly.   So here’s the video: Wayne Circuit Rules Official Records PUBLIC – Documents Released 

And the “Kwame Sutra” is here. Truly, this sort of communication wholly inappropriate and out of order. What a shameful embarassment for Detroiters who are and will continue paying the price for this Mayor’s misbehaviors, which included his cell phone bill. Not the kind of activity people should be paying for with their tax dollars.

 Article recapping these explicit messages here. Kwame Kilpatrick is aware he can no longer sham the world but he will still keep trying! After these messages were released Tuesday, he went on all the local news channels saying they are “just a hoax, they not mine”. Can you believe it?! Hilarious.

Perhaps equally egregious however, is the fact that Kwame Kilpatrick has also scammed the people yet AGAIN by making taxpayers pay for his legel defense. Attorney James Burdick who represents Kwame Kilpatrick in the text message scandal was awarded a $24,500.00 contract – just $500.00 below the amount requiring City Council approve it. Since it was below the limit, the law department headed by Kwame’s cousin John Johnson pushed it on through. Say buh-bye to another 25K of your hard earned tax dollars Detroiters!

Detroit Mayor Kilpatrick Now Pushes Propaganda Using Police and Fire Department Workers

Check it out— there’s no level to which Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will not stoop to keep his hold on the City “throne”. Now it’s propaganda using Police and Fire department workers. Mayor Kilpatrick decides to pull the very NEEDED police and fire department force off of crime and safety diligence to instead, go door to door at residents homes with “bags of propaganda” on behalf of the Mayor. They are directed to hand deliver “baggies” to residents whom previously, never received so much as visit by Kilpatrick to their areas. Homage to the fabulous “Wanda” was inspired by the excellent articles found on Blackline addressing opinions and views on a variety of political topics. One of the funniest is the astute and humorous observation made by Lerone Wilson in the article: Blackout: How the City of Detroit Went Crazy.

Federal Court Tells City of Detroit: TURN OVER DOCUMENTS

In federal court today Judge Gerald E. Rosen was surprised to discover that unlike the proper protocol of municipal corporations, City of Detroit decided to shred official documents that should be retained. This appears a rather suspicious act on behalf of Kilpatrick’s administration,. and doesn’t help defend him in either the lawsuit regarding slain dancer Tamara Greene, nor  the suit regarding his other text message scandals with Christine Beatty and investigations into misappropriation of millions of taxpayer dollars.

“I find it frustrating and surprising that a municipal government would not keep these kinds of records for some period of time,” U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen said. “There are all sorts of reasons why these records should have been kept.” Greene, who was shot to death in Detroit on April 30, 2003, was linked to a long rumored but never substantiated party at the mayor’s Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002. – Detroit News

Right on Judge Rosen! Not the least of good reasons would be: Mayor Kilpatrick’s very own policy that internal communications are PUBLIC record and subject to inspection by the PUBLIC.

How curious to find that somehow, Detroit City’s communications are now magically missing and thus exempt from inspection? Well, the Judge wasn’t buying any of that argument. In response to the City’s attempt to waylay investigations saying “they can’t come up with documents because they shredded them”, the court says, “We’re going to get to the bottom of this”. (GOOD!) Further, while city attorney’s were attempting to halt proceeding of the Tamara Greene murder case due to the Mayor’s 8.4 million dollar text message scandal, federal court also denied this as well and their “gag order” request. People everywhere are happy to find SOMEONE is taking interest in the corrupt leadership that has continued to occurr in Detroit  which has risen to the level of making a significant negative impact upon the entire State of Michigan no less.

A Tiara? Detroit Mayor Continues To Lose Credibility

After Monica Conyers ridiculous attack on council members Jo Ann Watson, Sheila Cockrel and of course, her famous “name calling” to President Ken Cockrel that he was “Shrek”…. today she (again) appears on national news criticizing the other members of city council (again). The City Council opted to obtain Kwame’s new “expense and budget” plan for spending taxpayer funds in writing (VIDEO). Yet Monica Conyers touts to the news that this was a “bad” thing to do. However, analysts say it was in fact the most prudent thing the City Council could do under the circumstances. Perhaps Monica overlooked what the other 80,000 folks witnessed during this government address, which is that Kwame has no credibility in the first place (by his own actions indeed), and in the second place appearing with a supporter (an advocate of Kilpatrick’s who happens to also be on city council currently)—whom was dressed in a princess gown with a TIARA.  Yes, on live broadcast news for the world to witness. Perhaps Monica has also forgotten that she herself was the FIRST ONE demanding the Mayor’s resignations. People are curious as to what caused Monica Conyers’ sudden, dramatic turnaround….  

The City Council simply preferred to see factually, with substantiation on paper, Kilpatrick’s spending plan agenda so as to review it. And frankly, is it appropriate for someone in a professional public role to arrive with a tiara on one’s head? Is city business relegated now to a “costume” party? Let’s be honest, if any regular citizen were to walk into 5th Third Bank vying for a loan to spend the BANKS MONEY, with a tiara on their head, they probably WOULD NOT be taken seriously. Likewise, why should anyone take Kwame or his supporters seriously given the facts and history at hand? Public comment reveals that people feel the council is acting wisely to see things in writing as opposed to just hearing it and assuming it is true. After all, over 40,000 text messages show what was really going on behind the scenes. It is clear nothing can be taken for granted anymore when it comes to the Mayor, not even basic ethics.  

But apparently, the Mayor is still wondering why no one is interested in anything he has to say anymore and more people are calling for his resignation (VIDEO). Hmmm….after 8 felony indictments, millions of losses for the city due to his own PERSONAL spending, nepotistic practices, philandering, and mismanagement, ya think? It is also rather unfair for the Mayor to expect to be treated differently than HE HIMSELF WOULD TREAT someone who behaved as disreputably. More double standard? Everyone has seen first hand how the Mayor has mis-handled his role as a leader and violated public trust on every level.

Kwame Kilpatrick’s Collage of Accomplishments and Revenue Agenda of Fining Senior Citizens!

Unbelievably, despite worldwide knowledge of the abysmal state of Detroit city on every possible level, not the least of which is: hundreds of neighborhoods laden with abandoned, unkempt, crime ridden activity; Detroit City under Mayor Kilpatrick’s leadership has decided to now focus on fining elderly residents who failed to remove their trash can from the sidewalk on a holiday — after residents were informed the trash would be delayed for pickup; a common occurrence in every city during state holidays. Yes everyone, a SINGLE SOLITARY trash can on the driveway of a perfectly well kept home, one of the FEW remaining in Detroit  is singled out despite the mass trash heap that the city itself has become. Let’s compare the logic with the reality of Kwame’s success in managing the city of Detroit in this collage: 

“An 80 year old elderly resident was fined $100.00 plus a $10.00 ‘justice assessment fee’ plus a $20.00 ‘administrative fee’ AND ordered to appear before the city’s Department of Administrative Hearings, presumably to explain their “menace”….” – Detroit Free Press 4/13/08

A local resident comments, “You have got to be kidding me. The City of Detroit is hassling senior citizens about a garbage can yet the majority of the city is a trash laden dump? Unbelievable.” And it IS unbelievable. Yet the serious lack of quality leadership in Detroit is SADLY no surprise. Also today, an observant journalist in Flint recalled the opportunity the city had to improve some of the situation particularly regarding the HORRENDOUS school systems in the city. The Detroit Schools are notorious for being victimized by crime, not having basic necessities like toilet paper, and notorious for theft, drugs, violence, gun use as daily occurrences. Detroit city schools are the absolute WORST in the entire nation. But this is not a priority or concern for Kilpatrick after all, his kids DON’T GO to Detroit city schools! After all his playing the “race card” and pontificating his “deep love of Detroit and whitey is the bad guy”, it is particularly amusing that:

1. His kids don’t go to any city school but to chartered schools with “white kids”.
2. His super high powered attorney’s are all “white”, and NONE of them are from Detroit either!
3. When presented with the opportunity to improve the schools via a generous gift funded by a common citizen who was willing to donate 200million dollars, Kwame squashed the idea and held rallies to encourage people NOT to improve education but instead be “anti-white”. Along with  the other city clowncil idiot Sharon McPhail at the time (surprised?) whom further insulted the idea by publicly humiliating the donors INCLUDING African Americans by presenting them with the “Sambo Sell-out Award” on local news.

(VIDEOS) Tragedy of America: Detroit Government Suffers From Monica Conyers Abuse

For history about the disgraceful (but typical) behavior that Detroit City Council member Monica Conyers recently displayed on full worldwide public view, see the original post: Monica Conyers Cat Fights (More Videos). Subsequently, over 2,000 public comments demanding her resignation and / or REMOVAL from city office have been voiced just on this one incident alone. Is anyone listening?  On this point, we would like to share a well articulated address on how the kind of thug behavior and low level of consciousness such as demonstrated by Ms. Conyers, remains the underlying CAUSE of the widespread degradation and breakdown of core values necessary for any successful governing body. While the address was geared overall relevant to the entire country, it absolutely applies here. The City of Detroit remains a LIVING example of the broad range damage incurred on every level, from lack of ethical, educated, leadership. From AEI Public Policy Research:

“…The current system is DESTROYING people…an an utter disaster with enormous profound HUMAN conequences…and the need for new thinking, new ideas and NEW solutions. …How many 8th graders will take up drugs before math and science? How many 13yrs olds will become madames (prostitutes)…? How many need to be killed and sent to prison? We have squandered education…. and dismantled the essential support systems to make gains possible. We have in effect created an unthinking, unilateral education disarmament. Is anyone HONESTLY willing to defend the current system is working?…The tragic truth is the current system is NOT working because of two topics we don’t like to talk about: BAD culture, and BAD government….These intersect to REINFORCE each other to create human and financial cost…we have a failure of government and failure of culture… leading to the rise of BIG bureaucracy combined with a rise of “counter culture” which despised middle class values that taught patterns and habits of destruction. Unfortunately, those MOST needing to listen to this message would never consider setting aside their enormous ego’s to do so. Indeed, when citizens called City of Detroit yesterday voicing outrage the city clerk responded with “… Yeah well it was all the NEWS fault.” Should we be surprised at the utter ignorance demonstrated? Sadly for Detroit,  the sheer lack of concern or integrity by those running the city is NO surprise.

Monica Conyers had the audacity to get on the news and DEFEND her bogus tirade and abuse of the entire council, and, the abuse of the residents who were attending the hearings. She states, “It was EVERYONE’S ELSE’S fault… I’M NOT the “bad guy”… THEY are!“….. Despite unanimous pleas for her to cease her volatile behaviors, SHE CONTINUED. She, like the City Clerk, blamed EVERYONE ELSE — instead of being accountable – and she certainly SHOULD be accountable and also STEP DOWN. She has been likened to a petulant kindergartener that did not get her own tyrannical way. Yet, in response to Ms. Conyers abuse of the other council members, Detroit City Council members President Ken Cockrel along with Sheila Cockrel and the others, all maintained poise, grace, and elegance despite the extremely embarrassing situation. President Cockrel was interviewed briefly after the incident and stated the obvious which was “that type of behavior is just inappropriate“. VIDEO HERE (And Linked Below): 

Another interesting point is that Monica Conyers, as shown HERE… and also addressed HERE, clearly supports Kwame Kilpatrick and has continued to CRITICIZE any investigations of him. Then on the news she will pretend she acts “unbiased” on behalf of the victimized people of Detroit, which she clearly does not. After all, it is Kilpatrick who endorses further degredation of the people with advocacy of GAMBLING in the city, which is part of his stimulus fund. By the way, was this the REJECTION letter Monica received from her last attempt at availing a job? People wonder….. since we all know she only was appointed to this one by dropping her husband’s political name around town and bullying everyone to obtain the city council position. Unbelievable, Monica Conyers CONTINUES her absurdness in full public view as per her typical style. What an embarrassment. Despite outrcries by local attendees at the Detroit City Council hearings today she openly insulted President Kenneth Cockrel and ALL her colleagues of other WOMEN by the way, exclaiming for the world to see:

This behavior, coupled with her PUBLIC ENDORSEMENT of Mayor Kilpatrick’s egregious mismanagement of public money, and her utter lack of ethics is further demonstrated by having her photo plastered on the outrageous Kilpatrick “Justice Defense Fund” which solicits money from the public to defend the Mayor from a very RIGHTEOUS investigation. And this is supposed to be evidence to the people that Monica Conyer’s is capable of UNBIASED SUPPORT for the people of the city???? Obviously NOT.

Conyers has the gall to attack Cockrel and others, yet she endorses Kwame’s NUMEROUS philanderings by aligning with his defense. What about all the women EXPLOITED by Kwame? This seems to be A-OK with Monica Conyers now advocating herself under the auspice of “feminism” PULLEASE! Speak OUT against the continuing outrage. A letter was recently sent in that was addressed to the City Council as well as all the contacts below articulating clearly that such a disreputable and public demonstration by many, such as Conyers, and others appointed by the Mayor to office (consisting almost entirely of family and friends) is a significant abuse of authority  that makes a mockery of any purportedly democratic government. Not to mention, the city is now funding Kilpatrick’s “Media Watch” campaign which has absolutely NOTHING to do with benefitting the people but again serves guess who? KWAME KILPATRICK. The public is urged to continue CONTACTING local and state authorities that the situation is escalating to the continued detriment and COST of the city, the people, the State of Michigan and EVERYONE. It is intolerable. Hundreds have contacted federal agencies already and at this point, yes they SHOULD be stepping in.

Monica Conyers Bar Fight—- Monica Conyers should not be blackening the eyes of party goers….. Blackmailing behind the scenes,“, said Clinton, “is much more effective“. Harry Reid commented that “there’s a dark cloud hanging over Monica Conyers” who “lied to get into the altercation and now she’s lying to mislead the rest of us about how it started and the conditions on the ground“. Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle said that Conyers should be indicted on charges of torture, noting that the event “prevented Mews from getting a second helping of birthday cake and another scoop of Haagen Daz“. Further, Howard Dean has remarked that “there’s no way that Conyers could win such a fight“, and Jack Murtha said “she has to run away if she wants to win; it’s her presence at the parties which makes her a target“. He further noted that Monica Conyers is “utterly broken“, and that he hopes “that this will be a lesson to her about attending any parties in the future”….
